Za najbolji film na 93. dodeli nagrade Oskar 2021 proglašen je “Zemlja nomada” (Nomadland) kineske rediteljke Kloi Žao.
Ona je osvojila i prestižnu zlatnu statuetu za najbolju režiju, a Frensis Mekdormand za ulogu u tom filmu proglašena je za najbolju glumicu.
U noći između nedelje i ponedeljka, na dodeli u Los Anđelesu na više lokacija, prvi put u istoriji u svedenom izdanju, zbog i dalje aktuelne pandemije, iako je jedan od favorita za najbolji internacionalni film bio “Quo vadis, Aida?” Jasmile Žbanić iz Bosne i Hercegovine, u kome igraju srpski glumci Jasna Đuričić i Boris Isaković, Oskara je u toj kategoriji osvojio uveliko nagrađivani “Još jedna tura” (Drunk) danskog reditelja i scenariste Tomasa Vinterberga.
